Welcome to Alterations by Carla. Just a little about me. I have been sewing for most of my life and got started in business when I altered some Kilts for my husband, who wears them all the time, and it was then that I realized there was a need for someone to do quality alterations in the area. So I started out of my home in a tiny corner of a room that was about 6’x6’ and soon got so busy I had to move into my husbands shop. He runs Mr Patch Drywall and had a shop with a large office. But I only took up about 1/4 of the office, which was still over 4 times my previous space.
On October 14th, 2017 we had to remodel my work area and doubled my space again. My new space is much nicer, more efficient and will allow me to better take care of my customers. I will offer 24 hour drop off service too. I’m excited about the growth of my business and about being a 4-5 star rated seamstress on Facebook in our area.
I can handle alterations on most items, except heavy leathers and can do tasks such as hemming jeans, shirts, skirts etc, as well as tailoring shirts, wedding dresses, adding a corset back to dresses to make them fit when they’ve become too tight, sewing on patches, and much more. I have several sergers and sewing machines to handle most any need, and can even do simple embroidery.
My daughter Apryl is now learning the business and works for me when she isn’t at her full time job. She’s been sewing most of her life and is doing a great job here.
Thanks for stopping by, and we look forward to serving you.
